We have an opportunity for a Quality Technician I to join our Moorpark, CA team. You will perform quality-related activities in support of operations. You will: Ensure compliance to product through Out of Box Audits. Conduct failure analysis of product returns and line rejects. Initiate and close Product Non-conformance Reports (PNRs), including management of non-conforming product inventory. Create and modify Critical to Quality (CTQ) documents. Update and post First Pass Yield (FPY) spreadsheets and Pareto charts, including submission of monthly reports. Understand and apply basic metrology techniques using hand tools, gages and fixtures. Perform inspection activities on parts/components manufactured by internal and/or external suppliers. Update Cell Countermeasure boards for quality-related items.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Three years related manufacturing experience
  • Able to apply basic metrology methodologies, including the use of hand tools, gages and fixtures
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist at the waist.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist consistently throughout shift.
  • Steel-toed footwear is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years as a Quality Technician or equivalent is a plus
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, a plus
  • Familiar with ASME Y14.5 (GD&T), a plus
  • Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) a plus
