About The Position

The Quality Technician position involves testing product batches and making necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. The role includes testing incoming raw materials and maintaining Certificates of Analysis (COA) from suppliers. The technician will perform standard tests on assigned product line production batches and some incoming raw materials, ensuring they meet Avient and customer specifications. They will act as a technical resource to production, addressing issues related to production batches, and may recommend and develop adjustments to batches to meet specifications. The technician will record test results in SAP, maintain reference files, complete and maintain all required paperwork, and ensure all gauges and test equipment are verified. Participation in investigations of complaints and corrective actions may be required, along with compliance with safety and work rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in manufacturing and production.
  • Experience in R&D and technology, specifically color matching.
  • Lab experience in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in quality assurance in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and send documentation to customers (i.e., COA).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
