About The Position

As our Quality Technician 2, you will lead quality assurance in the factory production environment by identifying improvement opportunities, preparing inspection plans, and conducting first article sample tests. You will also train operators, perform manufacturing process audits, and serve as the primary quality contact for the production. And finally, you will work closely with the Quality Engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers and Production team to maintain quality output.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive and successful experience in Quality/testing to KONE.
  • High School Diploma or Relevant Testing/Quality certifications required (engineering background, preferred).
  • Working knowledge with Lean and Quality tools, methods, and systems.
  • Working knowledge on 5S.
  • Knowledge which measurement and test equipment tools are appropriate for various applications and how to assess tool accuracy and precision.
  • Must understand the concept of calibration standards.

  • Perform manufacturing process audits
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for the production
  • Work closely with the Quality Engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers and Production team to maintain quality output
  • Performs sample tests and process audits and assures the measurement system is correctly implemented.
  • Create reports regarding quality measurements and inspections.
  • Perform inspections on the incoming material and prepares summary of inspection results to Suppliers and Product owners.
  • Performs daily production audits and document the findings.
  • Communicates inspection and audit results to relevant stakeholders such as Quality Manager/Engineer and Production supervisors.
  • Manages the third-party tool calibration process.
  • Perform tests on the Return Material Authorization (RMA) products.
  • Perform reconciliation of warranty claims and identify improvement opportunities to mitigate them happening again.
  • Perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions.
