Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with proficiency in math; college courses preferred.
  • Two (2) plus years experience in quality discipline; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • SAP experience, desired.
  • Ability to use measuring and testing devices.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Strong problem solving, analytical methods and technical skills.
  • Good understanding of FDA Good Manufacturing Practices Regulations (GMP's) and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication (both written and oral), interpersonal, team building and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to plan ahead to minimize potential issues as well as to meet company growth objectives.
  • Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Makes recommendations when evaluating product defects found during the inspection process.
  • Keeps Quality Management informed of significant problems that arise.
  • Conducts investigation of failures, incidents, and deviations to assure that root causes are identified, and appropriate corrective action and preventative actions are taken and/or implemented.
  • Interacts with necessary individuals in coordinating production scheduling and related activities.
  • Assists with new product start-ups and process transfers.
  • Assures that staff receives necessary training, including that for operations, cGMPs, safety and protecting the environment. This includes new employees.
  • Verifies quality checks on an ongoing basis for proper appearance, weight, and torque and identifies discrepancies and initiates resolution.
  • Routinely audits records and forms that are completed by production line operators.
  • Completes all work in a manner consistent with the company's quality system and FDA GMP regulations.
  • Assists with daily quality checks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
