Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. We have an opportunity for a Material Control Lab (MCL) Quality Technical Team Member to be based in Columbus, GA. (onsite role).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one (1) year of related experience
• Must be willing to work the scheduled shift and may need to train on an alternate shift.
• Overtime may be required.
• Familiar with blueprints.

Nice To Haves

• Two to five years’ experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Technical 2-year degree or relevant certifications are preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
• Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
• Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical inspection and testing
• Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testing
• Receive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracy
• Sort priorities as needed
• Operate multiple machines for Specimen testing
• Comply with all training required, including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work.
• Log testing data in UGA
• Maintain required logbooks.
• Perform 6s each shift
• Engage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings
• Complete all training within the expected time given
