Responsibilities

  • Order and retrieve medical records in accordance with hospital policy
  • Establish and maintain databases accurately with timely updating; run and distribute reports
  • Coordinate dissemination of reports and documents
  • Enter, tabulate, and retrieve data utilizing knowledge of various computer software packages
  • Research information, compile statistics, compute figures, plot graphs and charts
  • Assist Coordinators in applying CQI Tools and provide computer support
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of special projects, events and meetings
  • Assist in the development of data collection tools and data entry forms
  • Maintain department web page
  • Provide meeting support as needed
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality program, safety, environmental and infection control standards
  • Perform various administrative functions such as monitoring expenditures and preparing reports and correspondence; may participate in a variety of research projects to develop service plans; may propose changes to program policies and procedures
