About The Position

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Quality Technician for the 2nd shift in their Tucson, AZ location. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills are required.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing receiving inspections on Tucson and customer components prior to coating application.
  • Perform examination of components in-process and after coating to customer and industry specifications
  • Perform mechanical testing after coating as required.
  • Work closely with ship employees and fellow technicians to support production and quality team members.
  • Ability to read and interpret procedures, drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with all company, customer and industry requirements.
  • Basic assistance with NADCAP audit preparation as required.
  • Communication with customer as required.
  • Helps to ensure that quality and standards for the department are adhered to and maintained.
  • Assumes other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as required
