About The Position

The 2ND Shift Quality Tech 1 is responsible for evaluating incoming packaging components, in-process production line activities, and finished products to ensure that quality requirements are met prior to release. Additionally, this position is responsible for communication and documentation of quality evaluation results and any further actions required, as well as assisting in other quality department tasks as needed. The successful person in this position will possess the ability to work across organizational levels in a professional manner, with a sense of urgency, and demonstrating exceptional organizational and customer service skills. This position requires the ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to provide proof of identity and authorization to work in the U.S.
Ability to effectively communicate (speak, read, and write) in English
Prior experience and/or demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in a quality or technical role, incorporating sound decision-making/judgment skills
Post high school education is preferred. Minimally, a high school diploma with relevant work experience is required
Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Data entry and functional experience using an ERP is desirable

Basic to intermediate computer skills—MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Syteline

Responsibilities

Samples and tests packaging components, in-process products, and finished products
Properly and accurately performs sampling, evaluation, and testing in accordance with established SOPs
Interprets test results against quality requirements and determines acceptability
Interprets and follows reference documentation, such as specifications and SOPs
Provides guidance to others in the understanding of quality requirements
Executes required tasks in a manner that facilitates the efficient flow of work and informatio
Effectively communicates quality information both verbally and in written for
Accurately records and files quality data and report
At all times, complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)
Maintains a neat, clean, and orderly work area
Complies with all required PPE
Follows supervisor/manager direction
Follows all Company safety rules/procedures, and abides by all Company policies
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
