About The Position

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, this person will be responsible for conducting general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing of manufacturing equipment.

Requirements

  • Preferred: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Two years minimum manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to perform basic math, including use of calculators.
  • Experience with using a computer and/or ability to learn basic usage of Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience wiring electrical panels, instrumentation and devices and point-to-point testing.
  • Ability to work from detailed schematics, wire lists, bill of materials, engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Familiarity with LOTO (Lock out Tag Out).
  • Strong interest in and experience with mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive maintenance, and total productive maintenance in accordance with standardized procedures.
  • Interact with operators, supervisors, and co-workers in a team-oriented fashion towards a common goal.
  • Research on the Internet for manuals and instructions from component manufacturers.
  • Troubleshoot faults and breakdowns using instruments, blueprints, manuals, manufacturer specifications, machine diagnosis, and control parameters.
  • Keep records of faults and alarms by date, machine number in computer database.
  • Propose and implement improvements to existing products, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineer in NPI (New Product Introduction) and process improvement.
  • Provide production floor support as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
