About The Position

The Quality Team Leader C shift is responsible for leading and coordinating activities for a team of employees in a manufacturing environment. This role involves monitoring adherence to safety and quality standards, communicating effectively with team members and other departments, and ensuring that employees receive the necessary training to meet job expectations. The Quality Team Leader will also provide floor support to maintain high quality standards and utilize measuring equipment to ensure products meet specifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. Required.
  • Knowledge of PGT products and processes preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word & Excel).
  • Experience with AS400.
  • Two years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must have strong self-initiative.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Show high levels of leadership potential.
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical aptitude a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly monitors each team member's adherence to safe work practices and Company's safety policies as well as all quality practices and initiatives.
  • Meets with group leaders to determine daily and weekly work priorities and adjusts work activities accordingly.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in written form.
  • Serves as contact person for other Group and Team Leaders to answer questions or concerns affecting multiple departments.
  • Relays and shares information with employees and other departments in a timely manner.
  • Ensures employees receive appropriate training necessary to meet and exceed job expectations.
  • Coaches employees requiring additional support and training.
  • Monitors production to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Reinforces the use of work instructions and other documentation to ensure that quality standards for fit, function and appearance are met every time.
  • Works with newly hired and/or transferred employees to ensure they thoroughly understand and properly perform their job duties in accordance with the work instructions.
  • Provide floor support to ensure high Quality standards.
  • Utilize measuring equipment to ensure product meets specifications.
