About The Position

Summary of Position: Coordinate Quality department activities within the facility with direction from the Quality Supervisor. Assists in setting up standards of performance, measures progress, sets up and controls workflow and determine personnel needs based on Quality demands and with the assistance of the Quality Supervisor Corporate: Adheres to the HTGSS policies and procedures Learns,demonstratesand upholds HTGSS Core Values Complies withall HTGSS Certification standards; Management System (TS16949), Environmental ISO 14001-2015 and Health and Safety ISO 45001-2018 policies and procedures Treats all HTGSS team members with respect and professional courtesy Always strives tomaintaina positive work environment Manages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budget Performsadditionalassignments / duties as assigned EHS: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures Complies withall safety policies and 5S clean philosophy tomaintaina safe, clean working environment Meets company safety goals

Requirements

  • Must have at least 6 months’ experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment related to seating.
  • Ability to use Calipers, Steel Rulers, Torque Wrenches, etc.
  • Leadership skills and experience.
  • Broad knowledge of OSHA and workplace health and safety programs
  • Broad knowledge of quality systems including TS-16949,ISOand QS; continuous improvement, Kaizen, 5-S, lean manufacturing, KANBAN, TPS.
  • Must be able to spot visual defects andassistin making quality decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Team Members, reporting directly toSupervisorany concerns or questions.
  • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to Quality/ Production Supervisor.
  • Document EOL (End of Line) inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and nonconforming parts.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
  • Updates job knowledge byparticipatingin educational opportunities
  • Accomplishes Quality and Organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Comprehension with First Row, Second Row and Third Row; Awareness of Receiving Inspection Work Standard.
  • Assistwith coordinating Quality activities within the facility to ensure the total manufacturingobjectivesareaccomplished.
  • Review Quality or processing issues with the Quality Supervisor as needed.
  • Work with the Quality Supervisor in setting and monitoring product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
  • Assistin Qualitytrackingandquality control systems, analyzing Quality, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect Quality problems.
  • Maintain environmental,healthand safety programs.
  • Observe work and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to Quality or processing standards.
  • Provides direction, development,trainingand leadership to floor associates.
  • Monitor assembly operations and able to recognize defective parts
  • Perform layered audit and quality checks.
  • Track parts andscrap.
  • Follow processes and procedures associated with the assembly area.
  • Work with processes and procedures associated with the assembly area.
  • Write Quality reports if needed.
  • Performs any variety of operations within the group tomaintainflow of work.
  • Performs any variety of operational tasks and workstations within the Quality Department tomaintainpositive flow of work.
  • Follow requirements of Quality policies and standards,such as,ISO 9001, TS16949, and IATF16949.
  • Support and adhere to 5S to keepworksite clean and orderly consistentlyimprovingappearanceof the team’s area. Active infollowing5SSort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain organization of work area.
  • Collaborate with Team Members, Team Leaders, Group Leaders and/or other members of HyundaiTransysto be active contributors to the team.
  • Attend all required training as assigned.
  • Comply withand promote company practices and policies in all areas including Safety, Standards of Conduct, Quality, Performance, and Communication.
  • Be flexibleinwork to support continuous improvement activities that will ensure personal and company growth.
