About The Position

Quality Team Lead Job Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating and leading the in-line quality team to ensure that Quality specific tasks are completed and quality concerns are contained, controlled and escalated accordingly. Essential Functions: Maintain safety standards for all in the area. First point of contact for quality issues identified in assigned area of the assembly process. Hold and/or stop shipments if product does not conform to IFA quality standards and customer requirements. Support and/or conduct the internal operations of parts inspection, process, and product audits. Utilize SAP to record data related to scrap and rework notifications for assigned area. Complete accurate production quality end of shift reports daily for assigned area of responsibility. Communicate information related to safety, quality, non-conforming products and scrap Completes proper documentation and archiving of controlled forms. Work with quality leadership, logistics and production to improve in-line processes and containment procedures with an emphasis on reduction of non-conformant material. Support and maintain good housekeeping principles using lean manufacturing tools such as 5S. Ability to work outside of scheduled shift to include a rotating week schedule as assigned. Skills: Advanced knowledge of English and metric measurement system. Understanding of industrial machines and gauges (various machines/equipment). Experience with micrometers, calipers, and blueprints. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Outlook) computer software applications. Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral with all levels within the organization. Ability to understand and follow work instructions. Familiarity with lean principles including 5S Basic knowledge of blue prints Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience in a production or quality capacity. Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk/move about a 500,000 sq ft manufacturing facility: 95% of the time Must be able to stand/walk/move about specific work area: 80% of the time Must be able to bend/reach/twist/stoop: 70% of the time Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on a frequent basis: 40% of the time Must be able to lift over 40lbs on an infrequent basis: 15% of the time Must be able to sit at a work station: 0% of the time Must be able to work and operate a computer terminal: 80% of the time Vision is required to analyze and process work; and to work on computer terminal/machine centers, etc Hearing is essential for safety reasons; and to communicate with employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, suppliers and customers via conversation, group meetings, and/or phone conferences Must be able to work with paints/solvents/cleaners Must be able to work any shift as required including overtime as needed

Requirements
