About The Position

We are looking for a talented Quality Systems Specialist – Senior to join our team specializing in quality for our Cummins’ business in Columbus, IN. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA, and customer-specific requirements by maintaining an effective, audit‑ready Quality Management System. Serve as the organization’s subject‑matter expert on quality standards, tools, and methodologies (FMEA, MSA, SPC, APQP, PPAP), coaching teams to elevate quality performance. Strengthen process ownership across functions by promoting clear process interactions, robust control plans, and structured process management frameworks. Maintain and continuously improve documented procedures to align with evolving quality system requirements and industry expectations. Lead the internal audit program to identify risks, drive corrective actions, and embed a culture of ongoing improvement. Support or conduct internal/manufacturing process audits and ensure timely, high‑quality responses to findings. Act as the key liaison for 2nd‑ and 3rd‑party audits, overseeing certification activities and ensuring accurate, timely communication with registrars. Oversee and deliver Quality Systems training while driving adoption of standard quality applications in collaboration with Business Unit and Corporate Quality teams.
