About The Position

The Quality Systems Coordinator works with cross functional teams to support customer complaint resolution, supports the food safety program, and supports all required compliance initiatives. This role plays a significant role in remediation of customer complaint trends and related issues that create opportunities for continuous improvements (CI) throughout the site.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Quality and/or Food Safety Role preferred
  • Experience in operations, process engineering and/or process control preferred
  • Knowledge of HACCP/FSSC 22000/SQF/BRC/IMS and ISO 13485/9001 preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • Some domestic travel to be expected (<10%)

Responsibilities

  • Champion customer related quality activities ensuring the established systems satisfy internal and customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that food safety and quality systems satisfy and meet at all times all customer specifications, internal and regulatory requirements (ISO, GMP, FDA)
  • Ensure continued compliance to certified standards (IMS, FSSC 22000) to ensure successful audit outcomes
  • Ensure document control system is adequately managed with regular and timely document review completion, document modification management, and new document releases
  • Lead the Food Safety Team to support the food safety program and initiatives to ensure top quality product is produced and all expectations for food safety are met and exceeded
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to identify system and compliance gaps with proposed resolutions
  • Work with operations and other teams to audit for effective and sustainable Corrective Actions
  • Reduce internal quality issues to meet and exceed set targets
  • Engage in risk assessment process; identification, control and management utilizing risk assessment tools such as FMEA and HACCP
  • Participate in CAPA steering committee and lead assigned CAPA and continuous improvement activities
  • Processing and completing internal information gathering associated with all customer notifications
  • Creating and assigning internal, supplier, or plant to plant complaints
