About The Position

JOB DETAILS Base Pay: $24.50 or more per hour based on experience 1st Shift: Monday- Friday, 6am-2pm Benefits start day 1 Weekly Pay DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support the creation and implementation of Sidney’s Quality Management System (QMS) through the following: Assist in integrating Cornerstone Production System (CPS) tools and terminology into local QMS documentation and practices Coordinate and participate in QMS assessments, helping identify gaps and improvement opportunities Maintain and update site-specific procedures and work instructions based on assessment findings and operational needs Manage document control through SharePoint, ensuring timely updates and version control of quality documents Support functional teams in creating and revising procedures, ensuring alignment with corporate standards Facilitate Management of Change (MOC) documentation and tracking for new or revised processes Assist in the scheduling and execution of Layered Process Audits (LPA), including data collection and reporting Prepare for and support internal and external audits, including document retrieval and audit trail validation Track and follow up on corrective actions resulting from audits and assessments Participate in problem-solving activities using CPS tools such as Kaizen and Quick Problem Solving (QPS) Monitor and report QMS-related metrics (e.g., audit findings, document compliance, CAPA status) Conduct basic training for hourly team members on QMS procedures and document control practices Support quality team in maintaining compliance with ISO standards and customer-specific requirements Assist in organizing and maintaining quality boards, visual management tools, and audit readiness materials Flexibly support quality assurance and control activities such as product testing, disposition of nonconforming material, and pulling together quality data as needed Comfortable being asked to take on a variety of tasks to support the plant’s overall success and continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a quality-related role
  • Basic understanding of quality systems and process documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods during process observations
  • Enjoys working with diverse personality types and thrives in a highly interactive role
  • Able to motivate and engage others , even in challenging or fast-paced environments
  • Flexible and team-oriented , with a willingness to jump in and help wherever needed
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities
  • Collaborative and approachable across departments and levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (especially SharePoint, Excel, Word)
  • Familiarity with document control systems and audit tracking tools is a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in quality, Business, or related field
  • Experience supporting a Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, CPS)
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Basic project coordination or administrative support experience
