Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Engineering or a related technical field—or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; supplier quality experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with quality tools and structured problem‑solving methodologies (A3, 8D, DMAIC, FMEA, SPC, CPK, etc.).
  • Experience with PPAP and APQP processes.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to collaborate across departments and supplier networks.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% (domestic and international).

Nice To Haves

  • Lean/6 Sigma and ISO 9001 experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools, process validation, and failure analysis.
  • SolidWorks experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a quality subject‑matter expert in New Product Development (NPD) activities, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure product conformance and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead engineering and verification builds, including quality testing, documentation, risk assessments, and PPAP activities for new products and process changes.
  • Develop and implement quality plans, inspection standards, sampling plans, and testing protocols to support product qualification and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and improve testing and measurement systems, including developing and programming gauges and supporting fixtures.
  • Evaluate and qualify new and existing suppliers through on‑site audits, performance assessments, and quality scorecard criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with Purchasing and Product Engineering to identify and onboard new suppliers and emerging technologies.
  • Drive Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) to eliminate defects and ensure robust root‑cause solutions.
  • Partner with suppliers on process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce variation, and improve product quality.
  • Lead quality investigations for both internal and supplier‑related issues, ensuring timely and effective corrective actions.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and recommend improvements to design, manufacturing processes, and quality procedures.
  • Provide direction on the disposition of non‑conforming materials and support Non‑Conforming Material Report (NCMR) processes.
  • Support and mentor Quality Technicians in developing inspection, auditing, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Assist with internal audits and support ISO 9001 compliance programs.
  • Promote the use of quality and lean tools across teams (A3, 8D, DMAIC, SPC, DOE, FMEA, etc.).
