About The Position

Atlas Roofing Shingles and Underlayment is seeking a Quality Control
Supervisor for Franklin, OH.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including: macros, pivot tables, charts, statistical and financial analysis.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, and, present information and effectively communicate with groups of managers, customers, employees, and/or general public.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to bring about consensus in areas of conflict.
• Takes responsibility to resolve customer issues; responds to customer requests in a timely manner.
• Strong analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

• CQE or CQM from ASQ or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment through strict adherence to Atlas’ safety policies and procedures.  Drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety and housekeeping.  Know and communicate safety message with focus on developing zero injury culture.
• Perform scheduled safety audits and ensure corrective action of all hazards.
• Ensure the quality systems are utilized to provide a consistent product that meets manufacturing specifications.
• Organize and assist in performance of monthly, quarterly, and yearly quality testing, including but not limited to: Mardi gras, pound tests, flag tests, finished product layouts, maintenance of master samples, warehouse audits, and competitive audits.
• Recruit, interview, and select staff that have the right technical abilities and skills.
• Support and sustain a culture where talent is developed through effective performance management, talent evaluation, and effective utilization of resources.  Ensure workforce is trained in respective job duties.
• Perform calibrations on production and lab equipment.
• Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis.
• Complete monthly inventory to ensure lab materials are available for continued operations.
• Administer the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) program.
• Develop training material and facilitate training on quality standards and activities.
• Travel, as required, to other Atlas’ facilities, claim visits, customers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Ability to Support the Shipping department through, but not limited to, using shipping dashboard
