About The Position

We are seeking experienced Automotive Quality Team Lead to oversee sorting, inspection, and rework operations within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising employees, coordinating daily job activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position requires strong leadership, forklift experience, flexibility with hours, and reliable transportation. Expectations will be clearly communicated to candidates prior to placement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required (Associate’s Degree or higher preferred)
  • Forklift certified OR several years of forklift experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
  • Prior experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and extended shifts as required
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly instruct and lead others
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee containment, inspection, and rework processes at assigned workstations or tables
  • Supervise laborers and ensure inspection of customer products meets quality standards
  • Lead by example with strong organization, accountability, and housekeeping practices
  • Coordinate shift start activities including table setup, materials, tools, and paperwork
  • Ensure all employees follow safety policies and company procedures
  • Report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns immediately
  • Ensure end-of-shift activities are completed, including auditing paperwork and timesheets
  • Communicate shift updates and issues to incoming Team Leads or management
  • Ensure proper tools, materials, and documentation are available for all jobs
  • Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions as needed
  • Maintain accountability for all personnel assigned to specific jobs
  • Provide performance feedback and report policy or procedure violations to management
  • Support and comply with all health, safety, and quality initiatives
