About The Position

Within our 350-person manufacturing facility in Fort Morgan - Leprino is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead plant-based quality execution across daily operations. This role partners with plant leaders and employees to reinforce food safety practices, coach quality standards on the floor, and resolve execution gaps so products are made safely, accurately, and consistently.   At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $81,000 and $92,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 10%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, food technology, dairy science, microbiology, chemistry, or a closely related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Five or more years of quality or food safety experience in a regulated food manufacturing environment.
  • One or more years of experience leading, training, mentoring, or coordinating the work of others.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, SQF, sanitation programs, and food safety compliance systems used in plant operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in food science, dairy science, microbiology, chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Quality Execution or QC leadership experience in dairy or cheese manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting regulatory, customer, or certification audits and preparing plants for successful outcomes.
  • Familiarity with microbiological testing, environmental monitoring programs, and statistical process control methods.

Responsibilities

  • Build and guide daily Quality Execution activities that keep food safety and product quality consistent across every shift.
  • Plan and coordinate staffing to support production needs while improving labor and workflow efficiency.
  • Coach and mentor Quality team members through hands-on training in food safety, GMPs, SQF, CCPs, sanitation, and personal safety.
  • Review quality data, investigate nonconformances, and write clear root cause and corrective action plans that prevent repeat issues.
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation teams to keep quality standards clear, practical, and achievable.
  • Prepare for and support regulatory, customer, and internal audits by maintaining accurate documentation and execution readiness.
  • Oversee sanitation program effectiveness, environmental monitoring, and microbiological testing to protect product integrity.
  • Respond to customer-related quality issues by gathering facts, coordinating follow-up, and supporting timely responses.
  • Reinforce plant policies consistently while fostering an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor department performance and identify opportunities for quality improvement, cost control, and operational efficiencies.
  • Support recall readiness activities, traceability reviews, and training drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Encourage open communication by answering questions, addressing concerns, and supporting employee development every day.
