About The Position

As a Quality Supervisor at Picoma, you will play a key role in enhancing plant quality assurance processes, driving compliance with ISO 9001 standards, and leading a team focused on maintaining and improving product quality. This position requires strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, and offers the opportunity to directly contribute to improving product quality, reducing waste, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with Quality Inspectors, Laboratory Technicians, Plant Management, and cross-functional teams to ensure that quality standards are met across all operations. This is an on-site role located in Cambridge, OH . Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably with quality auditing responsibilities.
  • High school diploma required; college degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
  • Previous supervisory experience leading quality teams in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with ERP and quality management software is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and customer interaction.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and report on quality metrics and trends.
  • Must be able to move throughout a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and climbing as needed.
  • Requires the ability to perform inspections, audits, and quality checks in various plant environments.
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary to support audits, projects, or production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and audits quality-related activities to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Conducts internal audits and daily inspections to verify adherence to quality procedures and enforce corrective actions.
  • Supervises Quality Inspectors and Laboratory activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Manages the gauge calibration program and audits gauges to verify accuracy throughout the facility.
  • Leads investigations into customer complaints, identifies root causes, and implements corrective actions to maintain product quality.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives and coordinates plant trials for new materials, processes, or equipment.
  • Trains hourly teammates on quality standards, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinates and reports on testing and customer product claims, ensuring quick and effective responses.
  • Promotes and enforces health and safety work practices in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Supports special projects and initiatives as directed by the Quality Manager.
