About The Position

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead food safety and quality execution on second shift by serving as a visible, hands‑on leader on the production floor. You will partner closely with production supervisors and operations teams to drive collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while maintaining food safety and quality standards. With less on‑site leadership support during second shift, you will play a critical role in decision‑making, issue resolution, and reinforcing expectations across the team. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Lead and support second shift Quality Assurance technicians and associates through active floor presence, coaching, and accountability Partner with production supervisors to support production improvements and efficiencies while maintaining food safety and quality standards Serve as a key quality and food safety leader during second shift, helping mirror first‑shift expectations with fewer on‑site resources Drive strong collaboration between Quality Assurance, Production, Sanitation, and Warehouse teams Hold teams accountable to food safety, quality, and operational expectations through consistent follow‑up and reinforcement Monitor and verify Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points to ensure compliance with company policies Conduct Good Manufacturing Practices and sanitation audits throughout production and warehouse areas Support resolution of food safety and quality issues in real time on the production floor Manage product hold, release, and disposition activities in alignment with policy Lead investigations into customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions Evaluate nonconforming or damaged product and determine appropriate disposition Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on process stability, efficiency, and risk reduction Assist with evaluations related to new equipment installations or equipment repairs Perform other duties as assigned to support food safety, quality, and operational excellence

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two to four years of experience in food manufacturing with demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibility
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points
  • Familiarity with Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Administration and United States Department of Agriculture regulations
  • Experience leading teams, holding accountability, and partnering with operations in a production environment
