About The Position

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the Monticello plant produces products that meet or exceed required customer expectations. The Quality Supervisor ensures best practices are being followed throughout the site, ensures the business’s equipment and processes operate at optimal levels and meet the needs of the organization. Coordinate quality processes and improvements from raw materials thru to finished goods. The goal is to assist the plant in reducing their defects and minimize or eliminate customer complaints.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people and personalities.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency with MS Office
  • Self-motivated and detailed-oriented
  • Strong listening and critical thinking skills
  • 3-5 years’ experience QA/QC in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 3 years relevant leadership experience.
  • Experience working in a QMS in a manufacturing environment.
  • Great attention to detail with accuracy, especially regarding product specifications.
  • The ability to remain calm in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain site standard quality procedures, work instructions, form-controlled documentation, and training records.
  • Assist Quality Manager with Root Cause Analysis on customer complaints, when necessary, along with product testing and reporting third party testing and certification work with production and warehouse personnel on quality issues with product or packaging.
  • Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the product manufactured meets the Company’s finished product quality and safety expectations, as per customer and legal requirements.
  • Support Quality Retain sample management.
  • Perform internal audits of the manufacturing processes to ensure capabilities and expectations are met. Support process audits as needed (some local traveling required).
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of quality control activities.
  • Perform various lab testing duties when necessary for other departments when necessary.
  • Testing, monitoring and reporting quality from production batches.
  • Testing, calibrating, and maintaining equipment for quality checks
  • Maintain lab records, supplies, and product retains for Quality, Technical, and R&D departments.
  • Help manage rework program to reduce overall scrap rates.
  • Procure and maintain COAs for raw materials and finished goods
  • R&D testing for erosion control and horticulture
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
