About The Position

We are looking for a Quality Supervisor to join our Performance Chemicals team in McIntyre.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.

As Quality Supervisor you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the lab, coordinating with operations and logistics to ensure we meet customer needs. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving plant goals related to safety, quality, and production efficiency.

Requirements

• Have a bachelor’s degree in science/engineering, or an equivalent 5 years of relevant experience
• Possess prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Show ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement

Nice To Haves

• Possess prior experience working in a unionized environment and familiarity with MSHA is preferred.
• Have experience with SAP QM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating activities of the quality team, including scheduling technicians, training operators, ordering supplies, processing payroll, and coordinating additional testing or projects.
• Managing all laboratory procedures and records to ensure accurate testing and documentation of results for raw materials, in-process testing, and customer shipments, while leveraging analytical skills to report on key operational metrics and driving improvements for the site and customers.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting lab equipment as needed to ensure reliable operation and compliance with internal and external quality requirements.
• Leading and participating in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, and production goals.
• Promoting a strong safety culture by actively participating in audits, safety meetings, and training, and by ensuring all site personnel follow company policies and procedures.
