About The Position

As a Quality Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Responsible for direct supervision, training, safety performance, product quality, cost control, employee communications, employee morale and productivity for quality staff on three shifts including both salaried and hourly personnel. Managing subordinates with clearly defined roles within functional disciplines, such as quality assurance, product quality control, incoming quality control, Lean Six Sigma, ISO, calibration, and etc. Cultivating and leading a team environment for employees by encouraging and implementing cross training programs, cooperation, innovation, flexibility and teamwork. Determining priorities and timetables, assign resources/tasks, and monitor workflow across multiple product areas, labs, supply chain and warehouse. Resolving issues and conflicts related to direct reports. Conducts performance reviews and feedback. Providing expertise and guidance in interpreting governmental regulations, agency guidelines, and internal policies to assure compliance and effectiveness. Driving quality and lean improvement using best practice, statistical techniques, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of combined manufacturing and/or quality experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to create, lead, and work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must understand and be sensitive to employee ideas and issues that may impact morale, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to promote positive employee relations and effective team leadership.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and influence changes with their crew as well as other management team members.
  • Regular contact with others at all levels in the plant.
  • Proficient knowledge of and experience working with quality systems applied to ISO9001, NIOSH, and/or Medical Industry (FDA Drug GMP and QSR, Medical Device ISO 13485) with focus in validation, manufacturing, quality control labs, and facility requirements
  • Working knowledge of 3M IT solutions for Quality (CFR, eMatrix, QDS, ISM, SAP, etc.).
  • Significant experience in successfully leading teams and projects.
  • Able to coordinate multiple tasks/projects and manage priorities accordingly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and well thought out technical documentation.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and writing/using data queries, extracts and analysis
