About The Position

The Quality Supervisor is an advocate and leader of quality that provides direction to and development of a team of individuals whose responsibilities support the manufacture of windows that meet specifications. Highlights of your role Build Quality into all aspects of their own work and their team’s work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements. Work with Quality and other leaders to identify areas within their responsibilities in need of improvement and lead such improvements. Promote a work environment that supports the Quality Policy, Quality System, Continuous Improvement and Winning Culture at Marvin. Act as an effective leader or team member in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices. Participate in systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues as related to the position responsibilities. Participate in Quality tools training for other supervisors as required. (E.g., ANSI sampling, Statistics, Lean/Six-Sigma, and database supported systems.) Accomplish supervisory and human resource objectives such as interviewing, conducting performance reviews, one-to-one counseling/coaching and disciplinary administration. Work with the Operations PGM’s to monitor, review and analyze quality data and trending. Prioritize, plan, and execute work activities in alignment with department and Operations priorities. Ensure daily quality data reports are accurate and published on time. Coach/mentor technicians. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards, and procedures while complying with legal regulations.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills - positive demeanor, succinct and comprehensive instruction/reporting, relationship building, influence others without authority, and manage expectations optimally

  • Proven drive for results - process improvement, project & time management, problem solving, and root cause identification
  • Experience and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and statistical analysis tools
  • Technical aptitude – continuously explore, identify, and implement evolving technology to improve process efficiencies and accuracy
  • Associates degree of technical or business discipline with quality, manufacturing, or management emphasis (2 years of practical experience or other training may be considered)
  • Proven experience within a manufacturing Lean/Six-Sigma environment that included the facilitation of data collection and analysis applying recognized quality tools (Fish bone, Flowchart, Affinity diagrams, etc.) and software (Minitab, a plus) adhering to a Quality Management System
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
