This Manufacturing Quality Supervisor position in Fort Worth, TX is a critical role focused on ensuring product quality in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment with emphasis on printed circuit board (PCB) production and assembly. Let me break down the key aspects of this role: Core Responsibilities Serve as the Site Quality Management Representative ensuring compliance with quality standards and certifications Drive manufacturing quality toward zero defects and zero quality escapes Reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) Maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) Perform regular process audits in manufacturing areas and functional departments Coordinate internal and external audits and address findings Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive action requests (CPARs) Lead material review boards and manage non-conforming items Develop standardized procedures, quality control plans, and inspection protocols Maintain the calibration program for measuring devices and instruments You'll work closely with multiple departments including: Production Procurement Manufacturing Engineering Sustaining Engineering Product Lines Safety & Compliance Focus The role places significant emphasis on maintaining high standards of safety, security, and environmental protection while ensuring all activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in ISO9001 high-mix, low-volume, electro-mechanical manufacturing
  • 7+ years working with PCB manufacturing controls, components, fabrication, assembly, testing, and soldering processes based on IPC standards
  • 7+ years managing external suppliers who manufacture and test PCBAs
  • Knowledge of IPC standards, Export Compliance standards, and Hazardous Area classification standards
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Experience with electro-mechanical product assembly and understanding of technical drawings and GD&T
  • Deep understanding of PCB fabrication, assembly, testing, and various soldering processes (HMP, SN100C, SN96, SN63)
  • Vendor control and selection expertise for PCB fabrication and contract manufacturers
  • Ability to lead failure investigations using FMEA and RCCA methodologies
  • Understanding of mechanical assembly processes for downhole tools

  • Certification in Electronics Manufacturing
  • IPC standards certification
  • ISO or APIQ1 Lead Auditor certification
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
