About The Position

The Quality Supervisor leads the daily quality assurance and control activities within the manufacturing facility, ensuring that all products meet internal standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role drives a culture of quality, coordinates inspection and testing activities, supports root cause analysis, and partners cross-functionally to achieve continuous improvement in product reliability and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality control or quality engineering within electrical or electro-mechanical manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001, PPAP and electrical assembly standards
  • Understanding of PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) production processes, including soldering, testing, inspection, and electronic component handling standards is preferred
  • Strong knowledge & experience in Lean Manufacturing / continuous improvement methodologies / problem-solving tools
  • Familiarity with calipers, gauges, and related inspection equipment

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop a team of Quality professionals, providing training, direction, and performance feedback
  • Ensure consistent quality inspection coverage across assembly, fabrication, and testing operations
  • Participate in daily/weekly/monthly Operations meetings to proactively identify and address issues
  • Oversee inspection and testing of incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products per established standards (drawings, BOMs, test plans, etc.)
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of quality records: inspection logs, calibration certificates, test data, and traceability documentation
  • Maintain and improve the facility’s Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001/14001 or other applicable standards
  • Create and maintain PPAP and other customer-required quality documents (FMEA, Control plan, Process flow diagrams, etc.) to meet customer requirements
  • Review and approve first article inspections (FAIs), PFMEAs, control plans, and process audits where applicable
  • Point of contact for customer mandated inspections and documentation reviews
  • Manage nonconforming material processes, rework approvals, collaborate with our Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) on supplier quality notifications
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, and Purchasing to ensure quality is built into all processes
  • Lead root cause analysis to resolve recurring quality or process issues using various methods (ex: 5 Why, 8D, Fishbone, 6-Sigma, etc.)
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the use of current technologies
  • Utilize data analytics tools along with key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights for various management levels within the organization
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) while driving their completion in a timely manner
