About The Position

Position Summary: The Quality Supervisor is a hands-on leader who drives product quality excellence by being deeply embedded in the manufacturing environment. This role is a data driven and resolution-oriented position that is focused on activities within the plants. The Supervisor is responsible for rapid issue identification, effective containment, cross-functional problem solving, robust corrective action implementation, and communication of internal quality performance across the organization by leading a team with a diverse set of skills and responsibilities. This role is the central hub for internal quality concerns and a catalyst for resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, PPAP, FAI).
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, TEAMS, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in HVAC or industrial manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Oversight Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration by leading and coaching an internally focused Quality team including Product Quality Engineers, Quality Technicians, and a Quality Lab Coordinator.
  • Set clear expectations, provide technical guidance, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, training sessions, and development planning.
  • Approve timecards and vacation requests; ensure adequate shift coverage during team member absences.
  • Quality Systems & Execution Own the internal corrective and preventive actions program driving timely completion of internal corrective actions that are verified as effective and sustainable.
  • Lead the Internal Quality Team to be the first responder to internal quality issues as a result of scrap and rework, audit failures, and workmanship defects.
  • Ensure Quality Engineers are leading investigations on the floor and engaging directly with cross-department team members to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and procedures and escalate systemic issues with urgency and clarity, ensuring the team is informed, aligned, and driving to resolution.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting Own the internal quality data pipeline – from collection to analysis to action.
  • Monitoring and reporting key performance indicators related to product quality, production audits, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and visual management tools to communicate internal quality performance.
  • Present findings in weekly and monthly reviews with leadership and cross departmental teams by translating this data into clear, actionable insights to drive decision making and accountability.
  • Identify trends and lead initiatives to improve product and process quality.
  • Process & Resource Management Facilitate daily touchpoints with production teams to align on quality priorities and any necessary containment or enhanced audit actions.
  • Ensure inspection and audit processes are executed effectively and consistently by guiding Quality Technicians to communicate with urgency and see that findings have been addressed.
  • Support calibration and measurement analysis activities by guiding resource alignment of the Quality Lab Coordinator and Quality Technicians with the needs of Supplier Quality Engineering and other internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain collaboration support between other areas of the Quality Team such as Supplier Quality, Field Quality, and Advanced Quality.
