About The Position

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the coordination, facilitation, and supervision of the facility's quality programs and initiatives. This role involves developing a quality assurance program that includes all standards, procedures, methods, and documents throughout the entire production process to ensure that customer quality requirements are met. The Quality Supervisor regularly inspects facility operations and products to ensure that quality procedures are followed and effective, and that the overall quality and appearance of the product meet expectations. They facilitate the investigation of all quality issues, identify trends and causes, and ensure that corrective measures are implemented. Additionally, the Quality Supervisor manages quality staff, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and development of Quality Inspectors and other quality assurance personnel as necessary. They coordinate inspections, tours, and visits by customer and third-party personnel as required, maintain appropriate communication with immediate management, customers, and third parties, and travel to customer, supplier, third-party, and training locations as required. The role also includes maintaining quality logs, checklists, prints, PPAP, and other required documents, attending seminars and training, and preparing various reports as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or quality management or related discipline, or equivalent experience is required.
  • 1-2 years of management or quality assurance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Develops quality assurance program including all standards, procedures, methods, documents, etc throughout entire production process.
  • Regularly inspects facility operations and products to ensure quality procedures are followed and effective.
  • Facilitates the investigation of all quality issues and/or occurrences, identifies trends and causes, and ensures corrective measures are implemented.
  • Manages quality staff including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and development of Quality Inspectors.
  • Coordinates inspection, tours, and visits by customer and third party personnel.
  • Maintains communication with immediate management, customers, and third parties.
  • Coordinates and communicates directly with customers at various levels of management.
  • Travels to customer, supplier, third party, and training locations as required.
  • Maintains quality logs, checklists, prints, PPAP and other required documents.
  • Attends seminars, lectures, and classes for further Quality Management training and certifications.
  • Prepares various reports as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.
