Quality Specialist - Blue Ash, OH What You Will Do: Work with the Quality Engineers to monitor and improve quality at the source efforts. In the end, all employees understand their role and responsibility for Quality and are engaged in the quality processes ensuring customer satisfaction. Review data to identify negative trends in KPIs Work with the plants to implement projects to preempt negative trends. Supports Engineers in carrying out production-related and inspection jobs; assists in monitor materials quality in processing plants and making the required adjustments; ensures maintenance of documentation and records. Assisting in conducting problem solving by utilizing the 5 Why and 8D methodologies Assisting in continual improvement activities by utilizing basic quality methods and tools Supervise a team of quality inspectors. Records results and prepare simple technical reports. Provides product and component testing using a range of measurement equipment. Provides advanced programming, training, and operation of measurement and test equipment. Ensures proper maintenance and calibration of the measurement and test equipment. Drive improvement of daily management by creating and promoting a culture of 5S and visual management Prepare inspection standards, visual standards, and boundary samples for manufacturing processes to support and build in quality culture. Develop and maintain various support quality systems to ensure compliance to company and industry standards. Develop and review process control plans to identify areas for process improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge in excel.

  • Ability to communicate efficiently to internal and external customers.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and perform from various documents, including method sheets, assembly drawings, production reports, safety rules, blueprints, printed shop schedules, Kanban cards/boards, operating maintenance instruction and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge / skill sets in maintaining software programs.
