In the Quality Specialist role, you’ll partner closely with plant leadership to strengthen and continuously improve the facility’s Food Safety and Quality programs. You’ll help build a strong food safety culture, support SQF compliance, conduct internal audits, deliver training, and ensure the integrity of all food safety and quality systems. Your work will directly influence the reliability of our programs and the safety of the products we proudly produce. You’ll also play a key role in regulatory readiness, customer and third‑party audits, record verification, and investigations into food safety or quality events. Requirements

  • 4 Year Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related field required. An equivalent level of education and experience may be considered.
  • One (1) or more years’ related experience required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Document Control and writing of Manufacturing and Laboratory Instructions
  • Strong training and communication skills at all levels, from manufacturing and laboratory to Operations Management
  • Advanced project management, leadership, and delegation skills; able to lead projects, assign tasks and achieve results through others
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, basic experience with laboratory software and manufacturing databases
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal, State, and Local food and water regulations, including CFR, FSMA, the PMO, and Bioterrism Act
  • This role requires the ability to regularly lift and move objects weighing between 20–50 lbs , as well as frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and exposure to vibration .
  • The work environment may involve exposure to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold), high humidity, and loud machinery .

Nice To Haves

  • Food and dairy industry experience under HACCP, USDA and/or FDA preferred.
  • Experience in GSFI (SQF, BRC, FSSC) or ISO-certified organizations preferred.
  • Leadership experience and/or training preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications Required: Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) Certification for Human Food Preferred: Pasteurizer Operator Auditor Training HACCP Certification Root Cause Analysis Training
