Requirements

  • Prior experience in an industrial/manufacturing/machining environment preferred but not required.
  • Two-year College or university program certificate with 2 years of experience, or 4 year college or university degree.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public.
  • Familiarity with reading and understanding mechanical drawings preferred
  • Will be required to use tools for part inspection.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Ability to learn ERP system, Spreadsheet and Word Processing Software, Adobe Acrobat Professional, MS Access, Photo editor software, Outlook, Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management system preferred but not required.
  • Experience using SAP preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee ISO documents and reporting
  • Ensure corrective actions are properly generated and effectively closed.
  • Promotes a culture of quality through process and procedural improvement
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Quality Specialist to enhance and maintain quality system.
  • Resolving any additional issues as they arise with the appropriate SMS personnel.
  • Working with multiple departments to expedite a solution to the non-conforming part.
  • May also include speaking with Vendors to assist in technical resolution.
  • Will be required to use tools for part inspection.
