About The Position

Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Requirements

  • GED / High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Experience in a regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
  • Ability to support manufacturing schedules (C-Shift; Fri-Sun; 5am – 5pm) and overtime on as needed basis

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace, space launch, military or commercial aviation experience
  • Experience with quality tools such as Lean principles, Six Sigma, root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Relevant experience in AS9145, Advance Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process
  • Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities (SPC)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document quality standards, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular surveillance audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct first article inspections (FAI).
  • Identify areas for process improvement and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes that enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Provide training sessions for employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support nonconformance material reviews.
  • Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
  • Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, procurement, and other departments to ensure that quality is integrated into all aspects of the business.
  • Other activities as assigned.
