Job Description: This job is responsible for testing and delivering software to accomplish business outcomes. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is tested to meet all functional/non-functional requirements, creating manual/automated tests, and executing both manual and automated test suites. Job expectations include documenting test execution results and assisting with triage of any failures.

Requirements

Candidate should have some working knowledge Parasoft SOA Test Automation experience, exposure to SOA and web services (service testing, middleware testing, messaging validation and virtualization), knowledge of industry standards, proactive planning and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
1-2 years of hands on experience in ESB / SOA / EAI based application testing using Parasoft SOA Test. (Enterprise Service Bus /Service Oriented Architecture / Enterprise Application Integration)
1-2 years of hands on experience writing advanced SQL queries with strong data analysis skills
Good understanding of XML, SOAP, MQ, WSDL technologies
Experience with creating stubs / responders using Parasoft SOA Test
Some knowledge of other SOA testing tools, preferably SOAP UI or Postman.
Has performed functional test execution
Proven experience with JIRA, ALM Octane
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems
Full lifecycle development methodology, SOA Testing Concepts and Methodology
Basic understanding of software testing concepts
Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to convey message to a broad audience
Detail-oriented and persistent, able to drive complicated tasks through to completion
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Individual contributor, capable of self-directing daily tasks
Seeks out best practices to find opportunities for improvements in test execution process

Responsibilities

Develops detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements
Contributes to test planning, and when part of a Scrum team, build test cases for stories in the given sprint, per story acceptance criteria
Participates in test case reviews and make necessary updates
Builds and uses test data required to accomplish execution of test cases
Executes test cases, including manual and automated tests, and record test results
Reports issues and defects along with appropriate background information for review
Collaborates with developers on reproducing, detailing, and documenting reported defects
Responsible for testing SOA (service oriented architecture) based applications using Parasoft SOA Test.
Responsible for analyzing the business requirements and developing test plans & test scripts based on business objectives and design.
Responsible for web services and message based testing, database validation, and manual batch testing.
Responsible for fully automating the regression suites for applications using Parasoft SOA Test.
Responsible for defect and status reporting
