About The Position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system establishes a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital includes trauma care with a helipad for emergency transport, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, a NICU, Intensive care, Medical/Surgical care, Telemetry care, and a soon-to-be open ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services. We are seeking an experienced Quality Coordinator (Full Time) Our ideal candidate supports the hospital’s quality, patient safety, and regulatory readiness programs through coordination, monitoring, and validation of performance improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring sustained compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, validating Plans of Correction (PoCs), and driving reliability in clinical and operational processes. The Quality & Regulatory Coordinator serves as a liaison between departments, leadership, and medical staff to ensure effective implementation, monitoring, and hardwiring of improvements like; monitoring quality measures, analyzing data for trends, developing reports, conducting staff training on quality processes that enhance patient outcomes, reduce risk, and support organizational performance goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related healthcare field required.
  • 2 or more years of Quality Assurance experience in an acute healthcare setting

Responsibilities

  • Support hospital-wide quality, patient safety, and regulatory readiness programs to ensure continuous survey preparedness.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics and performance data, identifying trends and driving actionable improvements.
  • Coordinate and validate Plans of Correction (PoCs) to ensure timely resolution and sustained compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., CMS, The Joint Commission).
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to implement and hardwire performance improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and distribute reports, dashboards, and scorecards to track progress and outcomes.
  • Conduct audits, chart reviews, and data validation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate root cause analyses (RCA) and support performance improvement methodologies.
  • Provide education and training to staff on quality processes, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure alignment, accountability, and effective communication.
  • Maintain documentation and support survey readiness activities, tracers, and mock audits.
