Builds trusted relationships with key customers (Toyota, Subaru, Mazda) and strategic suppliers (WKW, Eclipse, Kyowa Sangyo), leading structured problem solving (8D, 5-Why, 4M) and cross-functional execution that links Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to deliver products to our customers in a timely manner, with high quality and at an optimal cost.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance Leadership Set the quality strategy, policy, and objectives; translate targets into team plans and standard work. Lead and develop the QA/QC team; establish tiered daily management and a proactive, prevention-first culture.
  • Customer Quality and Program Management (Toyota, Subaru, Mazda) Serve as primary quality liaison; manage scorecards, audits, and QBRs; ensure customer-specific requirements (CSRs) compliance. Lead launch quality: APQP deliverables, safe-launch plans, run-at-rate, PPAP/PSW on-time; manage issues to closure before SOP. Coordinate rapid containment, 24-hour response, and robust 8D for complaints, field returns, or line disruptions.
  • Supplier Quality Management (WKW, Eclipse, Kyowa Sangyo, others) Define incoming quality standards; qualify suppliers via audits (e.g., VDA 6.3), APQP/PPAP, and capability validation. Drive supplier performance (OTD, PPM, responsiveness) with scorecards, QBRs, and corrective action effectiveness checks. Govern changes and capacity/tooling readiness; deploy safe-launch and escalation for chronic issues.
  • QMS Implementation and Compliance Maintain and improve an IATF 16949/ISO 9001-compliant QMS aligned with customer/regulatory needs. Ensure disciplined document/record control, training/competence, internal audits, and timely closure of nonconformities.
  • Advanced Quality, Control, and Verification Link DFMEA/PFMEA to Control Plans; ensure MSA, SPC, capability (Cp/Cpk), gauge calibration, and traceability. Deploy error-proofing (poka‑yoke), layered process audits (LPA), and standardized reaction plans at point of use.
  • Structured Problem Solving and Escalation Institutionalize 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa/4M analyses; verify root cause with data; validate effectiveness and prevent reoccurrence. Operate formal containment, escape-point analysis, and lessons-learned sharing across products and suppliers.
  • Risk, Change, and Product Safety Own risk registers for quality and supply continuity; govern ECR/ECO, temporary deviations, and process changes. Oversee product safety controls, special characteristics, and regulatory/warranty management.
  • Metrics, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement Publish dashboards; run MBR/QBR cadences; drive COPQ reduction, yield improvement, and cycle-time-to-containment. Standardize playbooks, audits, and training; benchmark and digitize core quality workflows.
  • Serve as the conductor of weekly project management meetings, aiming to maximize organizational output through horizontal collaboration with Sales, Supply Chain Management, and Design teams. Identify challenges specific to each program during these meetings and integrate them into the corresponding action plans.
