PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: To serve as the primary bridge between identified quality gaps and documented solutions.  Under the direction of the CI and Quality Manager, the Quality Support Specialist will transform anecdotal quality fixes into documented standards and facilitate improvement of manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five year’s related experience and/or training in a manufacturing Quality or Lead Operator experience preferred).
  • Must be able to take complex “tribal knowledge” from the floor and translate it into clear, written English instructions

Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Root Cause Analysis (RCA): In conjunction with the Quality and CI Manager, facilitate RCAs for major non-conformances. The Specialist will lead the investigation and data gathering to turn single-instance failures into systemic, documented solutions.
  • Process Standardization: Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions for audits, non-conformance handling, and in-process checks to ensure floor-level consistency.
  • Compliance & Audit Support: Assist the Quality and CI Manager in the development and maintenance of the Quality Manual; ensure all documentation is updated to support BRCGS, GMP, and C-TPAT audit readiness.
  • Data & Metrics Management: Support the Quality and CI Manager in the capture, interpretation, and reporting of performance data to identify trends and process "bottlenecks."
  • Continuous Improvement Support: Assist with the implementation of Six Sigma Yellow Belt projects and Smart Set-up programs as delegated by management.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training with plant personnel to ensure new standards and SOPs are understood and executed correctly on the floor.
  • Safety Support: Provide auxiliary support to the safety department and adhere to all safety protocols as need
