Quality/Process Engineering is a group within the manufacturing engineering and quality team supporting the entire manufacturing operation.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing)
  • 0-1 year of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma exposure or experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve daily production related quality issues.
  • Interface with teams that address quality, new product introduction, capacity issues, purchasing, and planning.
  • Provide input to the various factory sponsored cycle time and quality improvement teams.
  • Identify corrective actions for factory related quality issues.
  • Implement temporary and permanent changes to build procedures through documentation management.
  • Support product 'stop ship' meetings and work with a cross-functional team to resolve and implement corrective actions.
  • Product ownership from a quality standpoint with a goal to drive efficiency gains through quality improvements.
  • Lead quality and process improvement across all facets of the operations.
  • Lead resolution and reduction of all escaping customer quality issues.
  • Lead cost and scrap reduction initiatives.
  • Lead site related quality improvement initiatives.
  • Must be able to read and interpret product specs and design documents.
  • Ability to present project and issue status to senior management.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary problem solving teams from start to finish.
