About The Position

The Quality Engineer / Process Engineer ensures products, processes, and systems meet quality, safety, and performance standards by developing quality control systems, inspecting products, analyzing data, identifying defects, collaborating with teams to find solutions, auditing processes, ensuring compliance (like ISO), and documenting procedures, bridging operational reality with customer expectations from development through delivery.

Requirements

  • 10-years experience in high volume automotive or defense manufacturing, supporting first article approvals and production launches.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with quality control software, statistical analysis, and methodologies (like Six Sigma, FMEA).
  • Understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of relevant ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
  • CMM Programming and Operation: Measurement of GD&T characteristics.
  • Level II or III NDT Technician: Ultrasonic Inspection.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Influencing skills to establish trust, credibility, and rapport at all levels of the organization; seen as humble, direct, and authentic while possessing professional presence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & Implement Quality Systems: Create and maintain quality control procedures, testing frameworks, and documentation.
  • Inspection & Testing: Plan and oversee product inspections and tests to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Knowledge of measurement systems.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze quality data, identify trends, and generate reports for management.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate product complaints, perform root cause analysis, and work with teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in production and engineering processes, recommending adjustments.
  • Supplier Quality: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO) and regulatory requirements.
  • Training: Train staff on quality policies, procedures, and tools.
