About The Position

Hunting, Dearborn Division is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Quality Planner to join our team in Fryeburg, ME. As a Quality Planner you will create quality control plans, perform in process, first article, and final inspections using various types of measuring equipment. A positive attitude, solid work ethic, and good problem-solving ability is required. Requirements

  • Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office products required.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of the interpretation and application of GD&T.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to management and customers in a group setting.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • ASQ certification(s) desired (CQE, CQT, CQI)

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret customer contracts, customer specifications, and any other required industry specifications and standards as required.
  • Interpret and evaluate geometric controls on customer and company drawings.
  • Work closely with project management to review and approve process sketches and part processes.
  • Create and update balloon drawings and inspection plans.
  • Create and update first article, and final inspection report templates.
  • Participate in and perform capability studies.
  • Use basic statistical techniques for evaluation of measurement data and trending.
  • Collect SPC data and upload to customer portal when required by customer contract.
  • Review and approve material certifications to customer requirements.
  • Review and special process certifications to customer requirements (i.e., Heat treat, plating, NDT, etc.).
  • Perform in process and final inspections utilizing various measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, bore gages, thread gages, and other handheld inspection equipment.
  • Train others on inspection methods, techniques, and equipment as required.
  • Perform final review of objective quality evidence to ensure finished product meets all Company and Customer requirements.
  • Communicate inspection results and findings to area leaders and management as required.
  • Create and sign certificates of conformance.
  • Prepare final documentation packets that include all required evidence that the finished product meets all contractual requirements.
  • Upload final documentation packets to customer portal when required.
  • Perform shipping verification when required.
  • Scan final documentation packets to company server when product ships.
  • Abide by and support all HSE and QMS requirements.
