About The Position

The position involves assisting management with project requirements related to quality control procedures and techniques specifically for pipe segments. The role includes training and testing craft personnel on the proper techniques and procedures. Additionally, the piping inspector will perform visual inspections on various piping systems, ensuring that the quality of work conforms to project specifications and governing codes. The inspector is responsible for recording the results of tests and inspections on the appropriate forms, checklists, or media approved by the project's Inspection Test Plan (ITP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Responsibilities

• Assist management with project requirements for selecting proper procedures and techniques for project quality control in pipe segments.
• Train and test craft personnel on proper techniques and procedures.
• Perform visual piping/flange inspections on various piping systems.
• Conduct in-progress inspections to ensure quality of work conforms to project specifications and governing codes.
• Record results of tests and inspections on approved forms, checklists, or media.
