About The Position

The Quality Outreach Coordinator collaborates with the IU Health South Region Quality Team, patients, and providers to support the timely completion of preventative care and other quality measures. Responsibilities include contacting patients to schedule appointments and tests, obtaining external medical records, and effectively communicating patient needs and relevant information to providers and clinic staff. The Quality Team seeks a self-motivated, team-oriented professional with excellent communication and customer service skills. This position will be hybrid with weekly in-office attendance at various IU Health South Region Primary Care offices.

Responsibilities

• Contact patients to schedule appointments and tests.
• Obtain external medical records.
• Communicate patient needs and relevant information to providers and clinic staff.
• Perform duties associated with direct patient care and clinical direction.
• Ensure completeness of ordered procedures and treatments.
• Maintain smooth patient flow.
• Perform general lab work.
• Instruct patients concerning procedures, treatments, and needs.
• Ensure medical orders and referrals are carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform registration and scheduling activities.
• Maintain EMR files and perform general front office functions as needed.
• Precept current MA team members or MA Externs as requested by leadership.
