About the role Plans, organizes, directs and controls for quality operations activities to assure full compliance with corporate policies and governmental regulations. Assures plant compliance for batch release and quality shopfloor for the site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, chemistry or related scientific discipline.
  • 5+ years in pharmaceutical industry; Operational Quality experience/ Laboratory experience
  • Knowledge of cGMP’s/FDA and other Regulatory requirements such as ICH Guidelines.
  • Requires project management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work well under high pressure and deadlines
  • Must be flexible, adaptable, and a strong team player and a leader that fosters teamwork and promotes Company Values, Behaviors and Strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Conflict resolution and interaction management skills required
  • English: fluent (oral and written)
  • MS Office: good command
  • SAP: good command
  • Veeva: good command

  • Ideal candidates will have prior experience in most, if not all, of the following and employees developing into this role should develop experience and demonstrated success in the following:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ management experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Quality Systems in charge are robust, effective, and compliant with regulatory requirements, especially in the following programs and activities:
  • Provides leadership, resources and support to ensure that products released have been manufactured and packaged in accordance with cGMP and applicable laws.
  • Develops the strategy and clear quality shopfloor a proactively influences the Quality Ops End to End Team by interpreting regulatory policy, establishing processes and providing cGMP and compliance guidance.
  • Ensure Supplier Quality practices are executed throughout the functional roles within the organization
  • Ensure that applicable changes are managed by Change Control process.
  • Ensure the customer complaints are investigated and plan CAPA implemented.
  • Provides leadership to the Quality Ops End to End department with responsibility for supporting and developing reports.
  • Acts as a coach or mentor using appraisals, 1:1’s, training and development, performance management, talent management and reward and recognition.
  • Communicates effectively and establishes processes to ensure smooth communication within the department, across functions and across sites.
  • Actively participate in regulatory inspections for the site; support the issuance of a timely response to the Agency for any observations.
  • Approves GMP related documentation such as SOPs, Deviation, Customer complaints.
  • Know, understand and comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines
