About The Position

The Quality Operator is a key member of the Operations team. Quality Operators ensure that extra care is placed on pivotal areas of the production floor that require above-standard quality control. Quality Operators play a leadership role on the production floor, including taking on training duties, being able to back-fill open positions and perform visual inspections and feed the framing machine. They work to ensure there is continuous 24/7 production to assemble Photovoltaic Modules in a clean, fast-paced modern manufacturing facility.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • No experience necessary, on-the-job training provided, preference given to those who demonstrate technical capabilities and have manufacturing experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capable of understanding and following oral and written instructions
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Maintain production and quality standards
  • Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires standing for long periods of time
  • Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening required
  • This position is identified as a Safety Sensitive Position
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motion tasks for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to tolerate an assembly line environment

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team of Operators.
  • Maintain a clean safe work environment, including keeping the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Feed raw materials to semi-automated machines.
  • Operate and monitor HMI systems to control and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform quality and testing procedures based on a set criterion at every stage of the production line.
  • Work closely with other operators/departments to refill raw material.
  • Replace consumable machine components when necessary to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicate with Line Supervisor about issues on the manufacturing line.
  • Follow all health and safety policies.
  • Train junior operators.
  • Learn multiple areas on the floor to be a relief as needed.
