About The Position

WelbeHealth is a value-based healthcare organization that’s transforming the future of senior care by providing an all-inclusive care option to our most vulnerable senior population. Under the supervision of the Quality Operations Director (QOD), the Quality Operations Coordinator is accountable for delivering excellent support and service to our PACE market operations through a process of record review, ensuring a complete and accurate participant medical record. Duties will include collecting data, auditing participant electronic health records (EHRs) by utilizing tools specific to the area of quality improvement, complete reporting, and confirming all regulatory required elements.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree preferred; three years of experience may be substituted in lieu of education
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in a healthcare setting or related area; PACE experience preferred
  • Must be comfortable with working a varied schedule, which may require nights and weekends, and must be comfortable travelling onsite for business needs
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and Health Information Management expertise
  • Extensive MS office suite experience, strong data gathering skills, and technical skills with computer navigation required

Nice To Haves

  • Background in coding would be highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential deficiencies, and facilitate and monitor appropriate corrections to ensure data integrity in the EHR, as well as monitor participant medical records for complete and timely documentation, promptly reporting to QOD when policies and procedures are not being followed
  • Participate in team documentation, process improvements, and other QO team initiatives
  • Conduct medical records audits to ensure timely and accurate documentation
  • Assist with WelbeHealth audits by preparing documents for desk review submission (universe lists), as well as assist with EMR navigation and impact analysis
  • Review and reconcile assigned regulatory logs
  • Complete required investigations and notifications
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the enterprise
