About The Position

The Quality Manager will recommend, implement, and maintain a quality system that best supports the activity of this Engineering environment. This will require defining and documenting standard work to be followed and audited, as well as managing all levels of Quality within the organization. Quality is part of a cross-functional team with other business and engineering disciplines, establishing the principles of product and service quality evaluation and control for the system. The role provides independent oversight and review of project deliverables throughout the lifecycle.

Requirements

  • ASQ certified Quality Engineer for hardware positions or ASQ certified Software Quality Engineer for software positions.
  • Previous experience in APQP and PPAP.
  • Hands-on experience with precision grinding operations and manufacturing processing.
  • Hands-on experience with sophisticated measurement equipment (CMM, surface finish, form testers, etc.). Programming experience on such equipment is a plus.
  • Experience in TS16949 and ISO.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the principles of product and control methodologies to maintain a stable manufacturing process that produces a product conforming to customer expectations.
  • Develop and operate the quality control system.
  • Apply and analyze testing and inspection procedures.
  • Use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices.
  • Understand human factors and motivation.
  • Implement Variation Reduction to continuously improve the outgoing quality level of the product.
  • Develop and administer management information systems.
  • Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
  • Ensure familiarity with product quality and industry specifications/codes/standards.
  • Assure the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System within Stanadyne.
  • Participate in the change management process to ensure products or services meet customer requirements.
  • Manage a team of highly skilled Quality professionals.
  • Understand the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up.
  • Develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving.
  • Plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles.
  • Acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods to facilitate process analysis and improvements.
  • Understand risk analysis philosophies and methodologies and their applications.
  • Understand readiness processes and requirements.
