The Quality Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, management, and coordination of the quality control activities to ensure that the company delivers products that meet all internal and customer requirements as outlined within the AS 9100 and other company requirements. This position is crucial to the success of the organization and requires the ability to effectively interact with all levels of customers, suppliers, and employees while fostering an environment that sustains profitability. The Quality Manager will develop, implement, and maintain the Company's Quality Management System in compliance with customer and company requirements. In this role, the Quality Manager will provide leadership of quality and continuous improvement programs, including Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and customer programs. They will develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products. The Quality Manager will also review and track all customer quality concerns, Supplier Deviation Requests (SDRs), and customer returns to determine appropriate corrective actions, advising management of all related issues and recommending appropriate improvements. The Quality Manager will supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and technical integrity. They will create, document, and implement inspection criteria and procedures while maintaining all Quality Assurance records. Additionally, the Quality Manager will manage internal and supplier audits as required by customers and the Company's Quality Management System, driving cost improvement and productivity initiatives throughout the quality assurance and inspection functions. They will work closely with engineering and operations to identify root causes for all internal and external non-conformances, actively managing inspection and quality practices to eliminate scrap, escapes, and minimize customer returns. Furthermore, the Quality Manager will formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards and ongoing quality control objectives, providing and overseeing inspection activity for products throughout the production cycle. They will interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within the company, create and direct environmental test functions and applications, and maintain an active role on internal continuous improvement teams. The Quality Manager will also design, develop, and implement quality control training programs, interact with vendors to ensure the quality of all purchased parts, and ensure a high level of internal and external customer service while effectively implementing corrective actions.
