As a Quality Manager, you'll be part of our growing team working as an on-site employee. You'll get to lead all quality assurance and quality control activities within the facility. This role ensures that products, processes, and services consistently meet company standards, ISO 9001 requirements, and customer expectations. The Quality Manager will partner with operations, corporate management, and cross-functional teams to promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and compliance throughout the distribution center. This role requires both a strategic leader and a hands-on problem solver who can drive sustainable improvements across all DC functions.

  • Provide leadership, planning, and oversight of the Quality Assurance department and its team members.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) across all DC operations, including inbound, order processing, and outbound.
  • Establish, measure, and report on key quality business metrics to monitor performance and drive improvement.
  • Ensure instruments and equipment used for quality control are calibrated and traceable to national standards.
  • Analyze and report quality control data through statistical methods, charts, and performance reports.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
  • Lead root cause investigations for non-conformance reports and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Represent the Quality function in process change reviews, technology implementations, and new system evaluations.
  • Partner with operations leaders to establish effective quality objectives, identify risks, and implement best practices.
  • Plan and deliver quality and reliability training programs across the organization.
  • Oversee site ISO 9001 activities, including certification, documentation, and compliance.
  • Maintain the Quality Assurance Manual and ensure ongoing alignment with company standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and other methodologies.
  • Manage the site's quality budget, resources, and departmental goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Quality Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive Quality Assurance/ISO experience, preferably in distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Proven leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and influencing at all organizational levels.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to apply statistical methods and interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and statistical software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and foster collaboration.
  • Strong leadership presence with ability to drive a cultural shift toward quality and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Skilled in developing, communicating, and executing a vision for quality within the DC.
  • Comfortable working in both corporate and operational environments.
  • Prior experience with ISO certification and auditing processes preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, or Agile methodologies preferred.
  • Familiarity with distribution center processes (receiving, warehousing, order processing, and shipping) preferred.
  • Experience with quality management certifications (CQM, CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly interactive team environment preferred.
  • Experience in data mining, simulation tools, and advanced reporting systems preferred.
