ECHO is hiring a Quality Manager for our Lake Zurich, IL location! The Quality Manager provides strategic and hands‑on leadership for all quality operations at the facility, ensuring products consistently meet company standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in driving operational excellence by strengthening quality systems, improving supplier and internal performance, and embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The salary range for this position is $110-$130 based on experience and qualifications. This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility. Requirements

  • 7+ years of management experience in a quality role in manufacturing.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO‑based Quality Management Systems.
  • Proven track record leading root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Hands‑on experience working with suppliers, including audits, inspections, and quality performance improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and influence decision‑making at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable.
  • Clear and confident communicator capable of engaging with frontline employees, leadership, and external partners.
  • Analytical and detail‑oriented, with a practical, solutions‑focused approach to problem solving.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, hands‑on manufacturing environment while maintaining a strategic perspective.
  • Proficient in quality documentation, reporting, and standard business software tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Quality organization, including direct and indirect reports, with responsibility for hiring, performance management, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Own the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO standards and driving system effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Set direction and accountability for corrective and preventive action processes by leading root cause analysis and ensuring sustainable, data‑driven solutions.
  • Define, implement, and improve quality control plans, inspection standards, and process controls for incoming, in‑process, and finished products.
  • Serve as a key cross‑functional partner, working closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, Sales, and Service to resolve quality issues and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee supplier quality performance, including supplier audits, performance reviews, inspection standards, and issue resolution.
  • Review and disposition defective materials and supplier products.
  • Champion a culture of quality, promoting continuous improvement, ownership, and best practices throughout the organization.
