WE ARE SEEKING A QUALITY MANAGER TO SUPPORT OUR FARIBAULT FACILITY WHO ENJOYS WORKING AS PART OF A TEAM TO SUPPORT, IMPROVE, AND DRIVE ELEMENTS OF OUR QUALITY STANDARDS. THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LEADING SITE‑LEVEL QUALITY EXECUTION FOR MANUFACTURED PRODUCTS AND PROCESSES WHILE PROVIDING FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP AND TECHNICAL GUIDANCE TO QUALITY ENGINEERS AT MULTIPLE ADDITIONAL MANUFACTURING LOCATIONS. THE QUALITY MANAGER REPORTS TO THE DIRECTOR OF QUALITY AND WORKS COLLABORATIVELY ACROSS OPERATIONS, ENGINEERING, AND ENTERPRISE QUALITY TEAMS TO ENSURE CONSISTENT QUALITY PERFORMANCE AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION ACROSS THE ORGANIZATION. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, quality engineering, or related technical roles.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including direct management of quality personnel and/or functional leadership across multiple locations.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and sustaining a Quality Management System within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, process controls, and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive accountability in a matrixed organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer and results orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • ASQ CMQ/OE, CQE, or equivalent quality certification preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading site‑level audits and supporting external certification or customer audits.
  • Familiarity with electrical products and compliance standards (UL, ETL, CSA) preferred.
  • Experience analyzing quality data and KPIs to drive strategic and operational improvements.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred) and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop technical professionals across multiple sites.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Change leadership experience supporting operational or quality transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the site Quality Management System to ensure consistent standards and compliance across all operations.
  • Plan, conduct, and manage internal quality audits while serving as the site facilitator for external certification and customer audits.
  • Oversee the creation, revision, and control of quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation to support operational clarity and standardization.
  • Lead structured root‑cause investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring quality issues and strengthen process reliability.
  • Develop and deliver quality-related training to ensure employees understand quality expectations, procedures, and their role in achieving product excellence.
  • Track and analyze the Cost of Poor Quality to identify trends and drive initiatives that reduce scrap, rework, warranty claims, and service-related costs.
  • Define, measure, and report site-level quality KPIs and metrics, providing visibility into performance trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methods to enhance process capability, reduce variation, and improve throughput.
  • Manage the customer quality feedback loop, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of complaints, RMAs, and corrective action requests.
  • Provide operational quality support to improve First Pass Yield, reduce defects, and strengthen process controls across manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure robust manufacturability, design-for-quality, and effective process controls for new and existing products.
  • Drive the development and ongoing maintenance of control plans, PFMEAs, inspection standards, and verification methods.
  • Review nonconformances and lead cross-functional efforts to implement sustainable solutions and mitigate quality risks.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the site Quality team, ensuring clear priorities, strong execution, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Provide functional leadership and technical guidance to Quality Engineers at multiple manufacturing sites to ensure consistent application of quality standards, tools, and methodologies.
  • Align multi-site Quality Engineering activities with enterprise quality objectives by sharing best practices, supporting problem solving, and promoting standardization.
  • Serve as the customer-facing quality representative for site-level issues, communicating findings and corrective actions professionally and promptly.
  • Support enterprise-level quality initiatives to maintain alignment and consistency across multiple locations.
